Profiles and Bios

If you are a member of the 1962 graduating class, or would have been if you had stayed at Wheat Ridge High, we would really like you to create a profile and tell something about yourself. You can always update your profile with current information. Your address, phone number and email address are not visible to anyone other than yourself and the website administrator. You can contact other Classmates through the 'Send This Person a Message' link below their profile.

This page has a 'Where Are They Now' button which, when clicked, displays a map of the cities and states where registered classmates live. You might be living near someone and not know it!

Check out the 'Sort' and 'Search' functions. The more classmates that register, the more handy these features will become.

Your registration helps attract other classmates to the site. The effectiveness of the website is a direct correlation to the number of classmates who register. Registering also enables you to post to the Message Board.

Comment: Where does one start? Was NG to Wheatridge in 62', little did I know that being 18 and having a car put me on the beer list first thing. Went on to college and got caught-up in a panty raid with a scholastic attitude vacation. Uncle Sam got me-- sent me all expenses paid to Viet Nam. Got myself shot up and sent home as damaged goods. Tried school again with a different attitude why I was there. Started my own business in earth moving and did well working for oil companies until the first part of 1982, then the oil business hit the skids. Went to work for the State of Colorado, first with the Department of Wildlife and then "CDOT Staff Bridge Design Section ", now I am retired. Married to a great woman and have grandchildren. What a wonderful life.........

Dee Pendley

Marital status: Married
Occupation: retired
Comment: After HS, I studied Engineering Physics for three years at the Univ. of Colorado. I became interested in Oceanography and transferred to an Ocean Engineering program at Florida Atlantic University. There I met and married my wife, Kerry. After two years, I graduated with a BS in OE.

I worked for six years as an Ocean Engineer. I did research in both the Atlantic and Pacific and lived in Florida, California, Hawaii, and Virginia. While living in Virginia, I felt a call to the ministry and left my job to enter seminary. After five years of seminary study, I graduated with a Doctor of Ministry degree. After a probationary period, I was ordained a United Methodist Minister. I spent a 31-year ministry in four different churches in Virginia. During that period, I had the privilege of traveling widely outside the US. I particularly enjoyed working on an archeological dig in Israel.

In 2007 I retired to a home we built in a beautiful mountain valley about 60 miles west of Washington, D.C.

I stay busy with volunteer work: Teaching a regular Bible study, a little preaching, and working as Webmaster for our County Democratic Committee.

I have two sons whom I greatly admire.

We moved from Routt Street in Lakewood to Milliken at the Mad Russian Estates in 1999 where we live today.

Since 1995 my hobby has been traveling in our motor home.  We have traveled at least 300,000 miles in various motor homes.
