Profiles and Bios

If you are a member of the 1962 graduating class, or would have been if you had stayed at Wheat Ridge High, we would really like you to create a profile and tell something about yourself. You can always update your profile with current information. Your address, phone number and email address are not visible to anyone other than yourself and the website administrator. You can contact other Classmates through the 'Send This Person a Message' link below their profile.

This page has a 'Where Are They Now' button which, when clicked, displays a map of the cities and states where registered classmates live. You might be living near someone and not know it!

Check out the 'Sort' and 'Search' functions. The more classmates that register, the more handy these features will become.

Your registration helps attract other classmates to the site. The effectiveness of the website is a direct correlation to the number of classmates who register. Registering also enables you to post to the Message Board.

I am truly a "guest" on this website.  Thanks to Scott I can visit the past.  I loved all of you and died a small death when I could not continue to go to WRHS.  I made a lot of friends at Jefferson and had a lot of fun there but thought of all of you many times.  So, this was a real treat for me to see this web site.

I attended CSU when I graduated from JHS and dropped out after the first year because I did not have the funds.  Also, the store my mom worked for had burned to the ground at the end of my freshman year at CSU.  My mom needed my help so I came back home to live and started working at the U. S. Mint. Maybe some of you remember that my father died when I was seven. That job led me to meet my husband who was in the U. S. Secret Service at the time.  He came into the Mint to target practice at the range they have in the basement of the building.

We were moved around the country seven times with his next government job and I worked at many different companies.  Our two sons were in several high schools and it was very hard on them but they have turned out to be wonderful men.

We are now retired and soon will have been married for 50 years.  We live in Denver, North Carolina.  We love to travel and have been all over the world.

After graduation, schooling continued (both in and out of the classroom) some fun and some serious time. Fun in the class room and serious events after classes.  Then, 4 years later it started, OMG, my "Adult Life" two years as a H.S. instructor and two years as a freshman BioSci Assistant at CU.  It was these last two years that reality really hit, so several carriers were explored for the next few years which lead to what I felt as project that would help industry and consumers alike.  So here I am a grandfather of 5 and doing what I like to do when I want to....

Greetings fellow Farmers,High school is only a vague memory for me, as I did not participate in school activities.  Wish I had.  The bios indicate what good people we have in our class.I graduated from CSU in 1966.  That was the fun time for me, and where I met Larry.  We married in 1966 and stayed in Fort Collins while we both got Masters degrees.  In 1969 we moved to Ohio.  I taught while Larry worked on his PhD at Ohio State.  The plan was to move back to Colorado when he finished, but we ended up at Wright State U. in Ohio, where we remain.  I stayed home with our two daughters until they were in school, then went back to teaching.  Larry taught and did research at WSU.  He traveled the world to scientific meetings, and I sometimes accompanied him.  We have wonderful memories, and changed insights about the world, from those visits.  We are both retired now, and our travels are more in the US than overseas.  Much of my time now is devoted to our seven grandchildren, who bring us so much happiness and fun.  We have a few acres in the country where they like to play.  Life is good!
