Comment: I married Judy Warburton class of 63 almost 44 years ago and we have lived in Charlotte North Carolina for the past 20 years. I retired from the Sealed Air Corp as the sales manager in the food packaging division four years ago.We are fortunate to have our two children in town. Our daughter and son in law own their own business and have two awesome boys one 8 and the other 5 and our son is an independent rep in the golf business and married a professional golfer about a year ago. I pretty much play golf everyday and mix in the yoga. |

Comment: I got my first marketing degree at CU. Then I was a ski/travel bum for a year before I got in to Air Force OTS and became an officer for 4 years. Then I got my Masters Degree in Marketing from the Univ. of Arizona. I worked in the Denver and San Francisco areas for the Gates Corp. for 11 years before leaving big business behind. The next 14 yrs were as a residential general contractor and real estate broker in the Evergreen, CO community. I have a real estate brokers license, did my own architectural work, and then engineered the structural elements. About 1997 the switch was made from home building to owning apartment buildings and having my own management company. Things went well, so I sold out in 2002 and retired. Since then, I have skied, scuba dived many places, done some golf, hunted, and fished a lot. Suzanne Harris has been with me for almost 9 great years, and we have had a wonderful time traveling to many fun places. I help Kiwanis, Elks, Trout Unlimited, and Ducks Unlimited with many of their projects to benefit the community. I have 3 married sons, and 4 grandchildren with 2 more on the way. We just got back from a superb trip with all of them to Beaches Negril, Jamaica. We are looking forward to many happy years to come. |

After graduation I enlisted in the Marine Corps. Boot camp just about killed me, I was only 128 lbs soaking wet when I enlisted, but I endured and came out with a great attitude and an extra 70 lbs. Landed in Okinawa for about six months, spent cold weather training on Mt. Fuji, got to see wonderful DaNang, Viet Nam for three months, got married to Judy six months before I got out of the Marines and spent another year in scenic Barstow, Calif. I tried several occupations before getting into drafting. After twelve years of manual drafting my claim to fame was helping design the frozen food container that went up on Apollo 11. Had my son Mike in 1970 then got divorced three years later. Second marriage was to Gail and we had our daughter Misty, in 1979. Had an opportunity to get into the latest technology at the time, CAD, computer aided drafting. Really found my stride in the computer age and started programming. I had CAD jobs at Stearns-Roger, Exxon Chemical Co, DYE designs (golf course design), Target Stores Headquarters (auto layout out of new stores), Centennial Engineering (road and bridge design), FHU (Pena Blvd road design), Martin-Martin (DIA runway design), and finally Auto-trol Technology Company(custom programming for the NSA, Ford Motor Company, and many others). Third and final marriage was to Beverly in 2000. She was my golf student and now she won't listen to when I try to help her with her swing. She has two wonderful daughters, Jessica icia and Stephanie. Jessica has two kids, Olivia 6 and Troy 4. Stephanie is pregnant and expecting in March 2013. Retired in 2006 and spent time giving golf lessons and of course playing golf. I played in several Colorado Senior Opens but never sniffed victory. Like they say, those that can do and those that can’t teach. I have had a lot of success teaching golf and I get more excited when a student hits good shots than they do. My daughter moved to Tucson and in 2008 and made me a grandpa. Spend 6 months in Tucson in the winter of 2008 to be with Misty and Austin. Lived in a golf course community called Vail and had a wonderful winter. In the spring of 2009 I came back to Denver and to Beverly and our grandkids. Fall of 2009 I had both knees replaced. The new knees played havoc with my golf game but I have finally got my golf game back into shape. Now we have our two grandkids two weekends a month because their parents are both in the health care industry and need to work a couple of weekends a month. I also look after a retired 93 year old retired lady a couple days a week. We take drives to the mountains or see a movie or take a walk. I just try and help her just enjoy life a little more. To keep busy I run the Pro Shop three half days a week at Stoney Creek golf course in Arvada, give golf lessons there, practice and play at Stoney, and of course play 18 holes with my son Mike on Thursdays. Plus all those pesky honey-do's. |

Comment: Graduated from the University of Colorado in 1966 and worked in the Petroleum Refining and Petrochemical Industries since that time with assignments offering the opportunity to work inside and outside the US. I continue to workpart time on projects that offer travel to interesting locations. In 2018 I was fortunate to have had a 3 week job in Italy. We began 2019 with a one week assignment in Thailand which we used as a starting spot for a 4-month excursion to southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. My wife, Dorine, and I live in Florida during the winter and Delaware in the summer. Dorine is an avid photographer and makes the most of our travel opportunities. If there are no work assignments or photo trips we work in other travel - usually cruises. We have three children and spend time visiting our 6 grandchildren in Albama, Michigan and New York. |
