Profiles and Bios
If you are a member of the 1962 graduating class, or would have been if you had stayed at Wheat Ridge High, we would really like you to create a profile and tell something about yourself. You can always update your profile with current information. Your address, phone number and email address are not visible to anyone other than yourself and the website administrator. You can contact other Classmates through the 'Send This Person a Message' link below their profile.
This page has a 'Where Are They Now' button which, when clicked, displays a map of the cities and states where registered classmates live. You might be living near someone and not know it!
Check out the 'Sort' and 'Search' functions. The more classmates that register, the more handy these features will become.
Your registration helps attract other classmates to the site. The effectiveness of the website is a direct correlation to the number of classmates who register. Registering also enables you to post to the Message Board.

Scott has done a wonderful job with this site! Briefly, after CSU I attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and then spent two years at Nellis Air Force Base (las Vegas) defending it from the Viet Cong (successfully). After an Ob-Gyn residency the next thirty-six years have been spent in private practice in the Texas Medical Center. Pat, the love of my life, has not thrown me out after all these years and we have two sons. One is an ER doctor and the other a Cardiovascular Surgeon. Great fun reading all the bios and greetings to all. Hope to make the August festivities. |

Attended CU '63 and '64. Then worked my way through Europe and North Africa for one year. Two months on costa del sol Spain, bought a motorcycle, Nice France, Monte Carlo, Italy (21in Pisa), Switzerland, Austria, Germany, East Germany, and ended up in Sweden for three months. Came back to CU for 1 1/2 years, got restless and went to California. Ended up in Manhattan Beach,Ca for six years and seven years in Redondo Beach. Played pretty hard until I met my wife 25years ago. I have been a pilot for 35 yrs with our own plane. My wife is also a pilot. Commuted to LA from our house in Palm Springs 6 months out of the year. Traveled above the Artic Circle and South to Cabo San Lucas, several times a year until it got too dangerous. We bought a ranch in southern Oregon 20 years a go and enjoy that most all year around...reminds me of Colorado. No children, but helped raise nephews and nieces. I am fortunate to have a great wife, that loves to travel and work hard at the ranch. It is so sad to see the passing of our classmates. May they all rest in peace and that they are in our thoughts. |

In the summer after my Jr. year at WHS, we moved to Walnut Creek, California. After high school, I moved back to Colorado, worked as a bank teller and married Don Hansen (Holy Family 1957). We lived in Evergreen and enjoyed hiking, skiing and rock climbing until Don returned to college at University of California, Davis and graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine in 1972. Meantime, I got some college under my belt while also working for UCDavis. Don was in private practice for 12 years. In 1981, UCDavis sent us to Brazil where we lived for 2 years (missing WHS 25th reunion!) We then settled in Corvallis, Oregon on our small sheep farm where I have my private music studio. Don worked at Oregon State University, Veterinary Medicine before becoming Oregon's State Veterinarian. Our 3 remarkable children are: a professional singer, an entrepreneur, and a helicopter pilot. Along with their awesome spouses, we have 5 fabulous grandchildren from 18 months to 15 years old. Besides private teaching and managing our farm, I've taught pre-school and elementary school music, am a published free-lance writer (always loved Englilsh classes!), a passionate fiber artist - quilter, spinner, weaver, and a sculptor (loved art classes, too). I'm still "horse crazy" and ride our horses often. We're active in our church, and do a lot of travelling, camping, fishing, hiking, concert going, and spending time with family. We've travelled throughout the USA, Mexico, Canada, South America and Europe, and with rumors of retirement in the near future, we hope to do more! Looking forward to the upcoming reunion! |

After high school, I attended Colorado Woman's College in Denver and graduated with a BA in Psychology. Colorado Woman's College offered a Junior Year Abroad Program so I spent a year studying in Vienna, Austria. Because of this wonderful experience, I developed a life-long love of travel, visiting many beautiful and very iinteresting places over the years. My first job was as a Flight Attendant with United Airlines. After a few years, I married and settled in England. Upon my return to the US, I worked in Human Resources Management for several large companies (The Denver Post, Times Mirror Cable Television in Phoenix and Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico). I am recently retired but like to keep a part-time job to stay active and involved in the world of business. I love to exercise, read extensively, spend time with family and friends and, of course, travel as often as possible. Many thanks to Scott and the Reunion Committee for all your hard work to make this 50th class reunion very special indeed. |

Live in Germany, Oregon and Colorado. Got a divorce in 1973. Moved back to Colorado and started working for the Colorado Dept of Revenue. Worked there for almost 29 years. I decided to retire. In that 29 years I took care of Mom and for a couble of years I took care of three of my grandchildren. After mom passed in 2001 I moved to Kansas, where I am still living. I have 15 grandchildren (2 are adopted) one grand daughther-in-law and two great-grand daughters. |
