Michael P. Meyer, 69 of Grand Junction, Colorado died Tuesday, October 15, 2013 in Riverside, California after a courageous fight against both cancer and a debilitating stroke. He is survived by his daughter, Anne-Michelle (Meyer) Ellis, Son-in-Law, David Ellis, two granddaughters Addison and Parker all of Perris, California, Sister Linda Lee (Meyer) Kempf, Brother-in-Law Dr. Kenneth Kempf (both of La Crosse, Wisconsin), two nieces, Kendra (Kempf) Bringe and Katrina (Kempf) Bringe, and Cousins Diane (Reed) Terito, Janice (Reed) Smith and Karen (Reed) Talcott. Lt. Col. Meyer served 22 years in the United States Army, served in Vietnam and was loved by so many. He enjoyed golfing, made a mean Caesar Salad and will truly be missed. Graveside services will be held November 1, 2013 at 12:30 PM at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Cancer Society.
