He was born in Denver on September 29, 1942 to George T. and Edna A. Swartwood. Roy is survived by daughter Stephanie Knight and her husband Ronald Eric Knight, son Richard Roy Swartwood, grandson Steven Eric Knight, sisters Charlotte Biesinger and Ruth Curtis and brother Robert Swartwood. He is preceded in death by his parents George and Edna. Roy was a member of the American Pool Players Association (APA). Visitation was Monday January 19, 2004 from 4-8pm at the Olinger Rose Arbor Chapel, 7495 W. 29th Avenue, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at 10am, also at the Olinger Rose Arbor Chapel. Interment was at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery.
