April 01, 1944 Retired Professor arch-research.com Single 2 An afternoon dust up with some juniors with Lynn Boyd sitting on top at the end Larry Wallace, Band, Choir, and running
After Wheat Ridge, I attended Beloit College graduating with a degree in anthropology specializing in archaeology. In 1966 I returned to Colorado to begin work on my masters degree in Boulder.  University of Colorado was not a good fit and, after a couple of years, began graduate studies at the University of Toronto.  I finally finished my PhD and got a job teaching at a small school, Wilfrid Laurier University, in Waterloo, Ontario in 1975.  I remained teaching at Laurier until I retired in 2009.  Along the way I got married and divorced twice.  I have a son,Sasha and daugther Natalie (both great kids).  I spent 25 summers excavating a 8 acre Huron village which was the major focus of my research. I have published 20 research based articles mostly dealing with the one site. Send Dean a MessageSend Dean a Message

June 29, 1944 Retired Married 3 Mr. Todd, Mrs. Knudsen, Mr. Tipper
I worked for 35 years in public education; secondary through university levels.  Finished the last five years of my career as the administrator/lead teacher of a night high school for alternative learners where I discovered I could attain and sustain the same state of hyperactivity as the students by consuming enormous quantities of coffee and dark chocolate. (Both are still my preferred drugs of choice.)

Studied with professional portrait photographers Ed DeCroce, Dean Collins and Peter Nicastro in the '70's.   I still enjoy the challenge of creating unique portraiture for individuals and have a residential studio.

Family, fly fishing, golf, learning to play the banjo, volunteer work, spoiling our only grandchild, travel and occasionally exploring the old Federal Highways in our refurbished '74 Airstream fill up the days.

Married to Margie (Margie Smee WRHS' 63) since 1965.

Denise and I are living in Flint, Texas (near Tyler) and we are about 200 yards from Lake Palestine. We have about 1/2 acre and 30 + trees which have been dropping their leaves over the fall and so far this winter. Needless to say, I spend a great deal of time raking leaves and cleaning gutters. Hamish ( our Cairn terrier) spends most of his time chasing squirrels

December 24, 1943 Retired Married 2 Cruising and Barry's
The first few years after WRHS were spent at CSU, getting married  to Edie and having a daughter Carissa.  Early studies were FAC and at the Student Union playing bridge which got me kicked out.  My petition to return was granted and marriage saved the day being awarded with a BA.  We moved to California and had another daughter Trisha, then proceeded to move all over the state  working in utility contracting which became my life’s vocation.

Utility contracting required lots of travel, throughout the US and Canada.  This got me lots of award miles, many of which were used to take the family to Italy, England, New Zealand and many trips back to the East Coast.

We have lived in Northern California for the last 37 years, with short stints in Tucson and Southern California.  The family has grown by three grandsons with no further growth expected, at least  for a few years.  Our live-at-home kids are now 2 Cairn Terriers, Izzy and Morgan who go almost everywhere with us, including an upcoming trip in August.

December 13, 1943 artist/housewife Married 3 being a majorette for the different sports events Mrs. Blume, Mrs. Knudson Being a majorette and the extra curricular actitivies

Fifty years…hardly seems possible!  After high school I attended CU in Boulder intending to get a degree in Fine Arts.  After my first year there my father became terminally ill and my pursuit of a degree was put on hold.  That year I married my high school sweetheart and fellow WRHS graduate, Dewey Krohn, class of ’60.  We have three children and eight grandchildren that all live in the Denver area.  They keep us young and busy!  We have lived in the Denver area all our married life and recently moved to Brighton just a couple of blocks from our son and his family.  I was fortunate to be able to stay at home raising our family and pursuing varied interests and activities.  I am still an avid skier, skiing over 20 days a season.  In the summers I enjoy golfing and working in the yard.  Even though I never got my degree in Fine Arts, I was able to continue my art education and have been a watercolor teacher locally and in Mexico for over 20 years.  I am a member of the Main Street Gallery and also teach there.  Dewey and I have been fortunate to be able to enjoy our family, travels and various activities over the years and will be celebrating our 50th anniversary next year.  We are looking forward to reconnecting with our high school friends at the reunion!
