Lynn Boyd
August 05, 1944 Retired Married
Denise and I are living in Flint, Texas (near Tyler) and we are about 200 yards from Lake Palestine. We have about 1/2 acre and 30 + trees which have been dropping their leaves over the fall and so far this winter. Needless to say, I spend a great deal of time raking leaves and cleaning gutters. Hamish ( our Cairn terrier) spends most of his time chasing squirrels

December 24, 1943 Retired Married 2 Cruising and Barry's
The first few years after WRHS were spent at CSU, getting married  to Edie and having a daughter Carissa.  Early studies were FAC and at the Student Union playing bridge which got me kicked out.  My petition to return was granted and marriage saved the day being awarded with a BA.  We moved to California and had another daughter Trisha, then proceeded to move all over the state  working in utility contracting which became my life’s vocation.

Utility contracting required lots of travel, throughout the US and Canada.  This got me lots of award miles, many of which were used to take the family to Italy, England, New Zealand and many trips back to the East Coast.

We have lived in Northern California for the last 37 years, with short stints in Tucson and Southern California.  The family has grown by three grandsons with no further growth expected, at least  for a few years.  Our live-at-home kids are now 2 Cairn Terriers, Izzy and Morgan who go almost everywhere with us, including an upcoming trip in August.

December 13, 1943 artist/housewife Married 3 being a majorette for the different sports events Mrs. Blume, Mrs. Knudson Being a majorette and the extra curricular actitivies

Fifty years…hardly seems possible!  After high school I attended CU in Boulder intending to get a degree in Fine Arts.  After my first year there my father became terminally ill and my pursuit of a degree was put on hold.  That year I married my high school sweetheart and fellow WRHS graduate, Dewey Krohn, class of ’60.  We have three children and eight grandchildren that all live in the Denver area.  They keep us young and busy!  We have lived in the Denver area all our married life and recently moved to Brighton just a couple of blocks from our son and his family.  I was fortunate to be able to stay at home raising our family and pursuing varied interests and activities.  I am still an avid skier, skiing over 20 days a season.  In the summers I enjoy golfing and working in the yard.  Even though I never got my degree in Fine Arts, I was able to continue my art education and have been a watercolor teacher locally and in Mexico for over 20 years.  I am a member of the Main Street Gallery and also teach there.  Dewey and I have been fortunate to be able to enjoy our family, travels and various activities over the years and will be celebrating our 50th anniversary next year.  We are looking forward to reconnecting with our high school friends at the reunion!

January 24, 1944 Retired Married 2

The Lord has blessed me. I graduated in 1967 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics with a specialization in Textiles, Clothing and Design. After graduation, The Emporium in San Francisco hired me for their buyer-training program.

In San Francisco, I was active in Young Democrats and the Bobby Kennedy campaign for president.

After two years in San Francisco, I moved to Eugene, Oregon where I helped open a new department store, Meier and Frank. I eventually moved to Portland, Oregon where I met my husband, Bob.

We moved to Lincoln, Nebraska where he was a librarian and I received my Master of Science degree in Home Economics with a specialization in consumerism.

At 33-years-old, I gave birth to Nathan then in 1979, Luke was born.

We moved to Columbus, Nebraska where Bob was director of the Library.  Until I retired in July 2009, I worked at Cornhusker Public Power District as Information and Marketing Director. I loved working every day.

We now have three grandchildren.

I am an active member in our Presbyterian church, P.E.O., Columbus Area Recreation Trails, Formal Dancing Club, and charter member of Columbus Morning Rotary.  I have co-chaired three annual Rotary rode bike fundraisers to END POLIO NOW. I belong to two book discussion clubs.

I was very involved in helping each of our sons achieve Eagle Scout.
In August 2011, I was crowned Queen Isabella because of my community service to Columbus.

Over the years Bob and I have enjoyed backpacking and still enjoy tent camping.  Our favorite place is the Wind River Range in Wyoming.

For seven years we rode our road bikes across Iowa (RAGBRI), across Nebraska (BRAN), down the Oregon coast, around Columbus, Ohio (GOBI), and around Missouri.  Our last ride in 2009 in hilly Brown County Indiana pooped me out.  Now we will ride trails.

For fun, I love entertaining by having dinner parties or cocktail parties. I always make everything from scratch.

Our family has hosted several exchange students who have added a wonderful dimension to our lives.  We hosted students from Paris, Canary Islands, Mexico and India. Our sons have been Rotary exchange students to Venezuela and Chile.

Every year we travel out of the country.  We have traveled to Paris, Argentina, Egypt, India, Spain, China, Venezuela, Chile, Turkey, Czech Republic, Austria and Hungary.

We have one life to live, so live it to the fullest!
